Limited FNM (14/09/07)

As promised, this mornign I'm going to post the results and drafting of yesterdays limited FNM. Before we started drafting we decided we would draft some Xth edition, not quite sure why.. but we did. Anyway.. Drafting time..

Started out great with a first pick Blaze and a second pick Spitting Earth, followed by a Bloodrock Cyclops and a Hill Giant. somewhere towards the end of the pack I picked up some green with a Rootwalla and a Canopy Spider. Second booster got a first pick threaten, two raging goblins and something like an eleventh pick GIANT SPIDER o_0 ..not gonna complain =p
Got a good number of good cards.. and about 2 basic lands.. that were all last picks.. yes I got 2 last picks.. thats how cool drafting is in Malta ;D In the third booster I picked up my third Raging Goblinand Bloodrock Cyclops along with a 6th pick Mogg Fanatic.. No last pick at all this time, but two 14th picks.. Yeah, hella cool ;D

Round 1 : Was paired up against some guy whose name eludes me but we will call him BILLEH for the time being.. This guy was possibly THE worst magic player I had ever seen.. he was as hillbilly as people get and he was playing a 61 card deck.. I don't play that many cards in a constructed deck.. First game I had a 1 land hand and decided to stay, and thanks to BILLEH's single digit IQ I was able to win with ease. Game 2 I had 2 lands, a raging goblin, grizzly bears, a bloodrock cyclops, threaten and somethign else.. he had a load of shit..

Round 2 : Came against jean paul who had drafted mono blue, Game 1 went to me by just a few points of life, game 2 went to him thanks to some good plays by him and a deluge ftw.. Game 3 was close but I got out an early Giant spider to slow down his beats, attacked with some 3/3s and ended the game with a 7 point blaze..

Round 3 : Came against bonnett.. again.. He had drafted R/G/w and had some decent creatures and some enchantments like Blanchwood armour and uncontrollable anger(lost about 3 of my 3/3's thanks to some dumb combat tricks) Game 1 he beat me by a few points of life, game 2 I won but with only a single point of life left thanks to blanchwood armour on a Thundering Giant. Game 3 went to him even though he started off slow, I started out with 2 raging goblins which brought him down to 11 but raging goblins can't take on two llanowar sentinels who were both uncontrollably angry and ate my 3/3's..

Note to self.. Draft more instant removal or you'll be getting smacked up by some pissed off elves or some dumb creature equipped with blanchwood armour, controlled by a dude with a million forests.. YA RLY o_0 !!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention.. Juniors tomorrow.. ^_^
